Let’s start this overview of the publications pertaining to the world of our Agente Alfa in 2014 by announcing that in March a new annual series will begin: Le Grandi Storie di Nathan Never, with stylish 220-page volumes (224 pages + cover, to be more accurate), that will take the place of our glorious “Giganti”.

For the launch of this new initiative, we’ll have a pair of exceptional authors: the writer will be one of Nathan Never’s stalwarts, the tenebrous Davide Rigamonti, while the art will be by Corrado Roi, the master, straight from the pages of Dylan Dog. Big names, that undoubtedly will make “I giorni della maschera” a sensational story, with an extremely dark atmosphere.
Still talking about new projects, in May Universo Alfa will introduce a new series, that at the moment goes by the working title of “Il mondo dei robot” (we will talk about it again, around the time of the scheduled publication date), and thus will join “Guerra Futura“, “Sezione Eurasia“, “Le Cronache di Marte” & “Dipartimento 51“. The characters of “Dipartimento 51” will be the heroes of the Fall issue of the series, as usual created by Stefano Vietti & Gino Vercelli.
For Nathan Never’s monthly series, we begin in February with the poignant “Le lacrime della sirena“, by Rigamonti and Romeo Toffanetti, where East City is struck by an endless rain. March will be characterized by the beginning of a trilogy, with texts by Alberto Ostini and drawings by a foursome of great artists: Simona Denna and Francesca Palomba, Elena Pianta and the newcomer, Lucilla Stellato. In this long adventure, Nathan will be involved in a vendetta inside the Dayma family, a powerful Mongolian criminal clan, that enforces the absolute respect of blood ties and tradition.

For Agenzia Alfa, upcoming in February, Rigamonti will tell us a tense story that – with art by Max Bertolini & Emanuele Boccanfuso – will portray the beginning of a serious crisis between May and her partner, Branko. In the June issue, Alessandro Russo orchestrates the first of four long self-concluded stories that will tell the saga of Kay Frayn, May and Branko’s adopted daughter. Set in a distant future, these adventures will let us know the events of the terrifying War of Darkness, as well as many secrets from the past of the young mutated telepath. The script and plot of these “whale” is also by Stefano Piani & Lucio Sammartino, while the art is entrusted to Stefano Martino, Anna Lazzarini and Davide Perconti. The October album of Agenzia Alfa will feature the tested formula of several stories in one book, with Legs Weaver’s explosive comeback in full action, by Giovanni Gualdoni (writer) and the spectacular art of Massimo Dall’Oglio, at his debut on the pages of Nathan Never.
